Academic Information
- Our Academic Program incorporates within itself the learning experiences that we believe are important in shaping the overall persona of our students. It is designed to uncover the best out of them and prepare them to adjust to an ever changing society. We are committed towards an integrated curriculum that reaches across disciplines. At the same time, the students are encouraged to meet the academic challenges with zeal, eagerness to learn and willingness to solve problems. An overview of the academics at LGS (Johar Town Campus) is important. Academic excellence is what we strive for here at LGS. We take the learning experience a step further than the regular textbooks; amalgamating practical work, handouts, multi-media and field work alongside the conventional books. An assessment system is in place that acts as a measure of our students’ performance in academics. We believe that extra-curricular and co-curricular activities play a pivotal role for an overall groomed individual. In lieu of this realization, we offer Debate Club, Dramatics Club, Cooking Club, Music Club and different sports on campus.
- We are a Cambridge Associate School. Being part of the Cambridge Program gives us an international educational platform, enabling us to give our students the best education in accordance with international standards, teaching them 21st century skills that would help them achieve their academic, social, personal and professional goals.
- Our education philosophy aligns with that of Cambridge. We offer Cambridge core studies in English, Mathematics, Science and Global Perspectives, along with Urdu, Islamyiat, History, Geography, ICT, Debate, Art, Music and Dance.
- Grade 8 students take the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Exam, which is designed to be a diagnostic test, and not a pass/fail test. The results give us an international benchmark to identify and address learning needs in Mathematics, English, Science and Global Perspectives.
Robotics Program
- Robotics Program is a breeding ground for our next generation of exceptional engineers and problem solvers. The program is a testament to the commitment of our school to keep up with global education trends and to venture into untapped fields in Pakistan. Considering the enormous potential of the field, the demand for trained professionals will drastically rise in the near future.
- Consequently, our robust curriculum introduces young learners to the world of Robotics by incorporating numerous topics from Science, Mathematics, Social Studies and Computer Science. This curriculum connects the physical world with the computing world. Our curriculum philosophy is based upon STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
- Students are also exposed to the concept of Artificial Intelligence, enabling them to go on to create advanced robots. Theoretical concepts are practically demonstrated, encouraging our students to take on roles of mechanical and electrical engineers as well as computer programmers.
- After the successful completion of this program, students will be able to design, create, assemble and program their own robots. These students will become the movers and shakers of tomorrow’s technology and innovation.
